I am a plant evolutionary biologist, best defined as a Botanist. I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul (UFFS) in Rio Grande do Sul (RS, Brazil). My research investigates plant evolutionary relationships using molecular phylogenetic methods, integrated with morphological, cytological, ecological, and genomic data. I use these approaches to address questions related to biogeographic history, community assembly, diversification, morphological and genome evolution, speciation, and species boundaries. You can learn more about my research by exploring this website (under construction). Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
